TMZ.com is reporting that WWE Superstar John Cena will be taking 30 sick children to Atlanta this weekend for Wrestlemania 27 as a part of his ongoing partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a charity that gives children with life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to experience their wildest dreams. The children Cena will be taking to Wrestlemania hail from the United States, Canada and Australia.
Cena's guests will attend Wrestlemania, receive a private autograph session with WWE Superstars and Divas, and will have a pizza party hosted by Cena himself.
John Cena is one of the most active celebrities involved with the foundation, and he will be honored by Make-A-Wish this weekend for reaching a milestone of 200 wishes granted. Only three other celebrities have reached the 200-wish mark: NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., and WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan.
Over the last 25 years, WWE has granted over 3,500 wishes for the Make-A Wish Foundation.
As WWE fans, we either love the Cena "character" or hate him. We should all respect and applaud what John Cena "the person" has done and continues to do for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
