It’s that time of the year again. This Sunday, the WWE will hold its biggest event of the year. It’s an event full of glitz, big matches and personalities.

1. The atmosphere
While the unique introductions and fireworks are visually appealing, it’s the fans in attendance, which makes the event truly special. Their excitement and reactions fuel the wrestlers. Some of the best matches in WWE history happen during Wrestlemania, and the fans play a big part in it.
2. The big matches
Some of the biggest matches in WWE’s history have taken place during Wrestlemania. Many of these showdowns draw in fans that may not normally watch wrestling. There’s also a big payoff for regular wrestling fans as these matches provide a ton of hype and excitement.
3. Culmination of storylines
There’s nothing like following an engaging storyline and seeing a great conclusion. Some of the best Wrestlemanias, (17 and 22 come to mind), had great stories throughout their cards. Great stories build characters and strengthen the overall roster of the product. It makes each match more exciting and provides fans a bigger payoff.
4. Characters come to life
On the grandest stage, some of the biggest characters received their push. Think about Stone Cold Steve Austin. While it is true that he had a big following prior to his Wrestlemania 13 match with Bret Hart, it was this match which catapulted his stock.
5. Wrestlers receiving their due
For wrestlers, Wrestlemania is where all of their hard work pays off. They may win championships or have such a big performance that the company has to push them up in the cards. Wrestlemania provides the wrestlers a huge canvass to display what they can do. If they perform, they may receive one of the top spots in the company.
