Jon Jones to Appear on The Tonight Show, Brock Lesnar on Late Night with Fallon
Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, March 24, while former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, March 28.
On Monday, UFC president Dana White broke the news of Jones' appearance on The Tonight Show via Twitter: "Congrats @jonnybones 1st UFC fighter to do the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The hits keep on coming!!!! Tune in thur on NBC!"
A short while later, Tito Ortiz responded to White, posting the following on Twitter: "Nope I was."
It seems as if Ortiz is correct, as he appeared in a filmed bit for the show and then was briefly brought on stage to speak with Leno back in 2003.
Quinton Jackson was also a guest on the show, appearing to talk about his film The A-Team.
It's all very convoluted, but I guess you could consider Jones the first UFC fighter to appear as a sit-down guest on The Tonight Show as an active UFC fighter, since Jackson was really promoting a film and not representing the UFC.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, March 28. Lesnar will be on the show to discuss his career, as well as promote Season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, which debuts March 30 on Spike TV.
Lesnar is coaching opposite Junior Dos Santos on TUF and will face Dos Santos at UFC 131 to determine the next opponent for current UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez.
