Barbaro, Barbaro, Wherefore Art Thou, Barbaro!

Mordecai BrownerAnalyst IJanuary 11, 2007
Whew, it's been a long time, friends.  But I'm back, and I'm here to give you a BARBARO update.

Yes, I know you've been waiting at least 2 months to know how everyone's favorite horse was doing, but don't worry, he hasn't been forgotten!  And even if he kicks the proverbial bucket, he'll always live in our hearts...and as the name of my sailboat, ranch, manhood, and first born child.

Today, America's favorite stud is feeling much better, walking, and giving interviews to select members of the press.  He told the AP recently that he is in good spirits, but still has a long way to go to recover from laminitis.

In the Good News department, recent X-Rays showed that he has no additional damage to either hind leg.  His leg strength will be a long-term challenge, but his owners are optimistic that he can out of the hospital by the end of the month, and possibly impregnating mares within a few months so that they can buy a third home.

God bless them.

It's been 8 months since his tragic accident, but Barbaro keeps fighting, for no one encompasses the American spirit like a lame horse.

I only wish the media would be giving us more reports about him.

Keep fighting, Barbaro!
