The New York Giants have defeated my Cowboys 21-17 in a HUGE upset to advance to the NFC Championship game.
Yes, the Giants scored more points than my Cowboys, but my Cowboys clearly beat themselves today.
Words cannot express the heartache that is ruminating over the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and over Cowboys nation—just total shock and utter disappointment.
This reminds me of the 1991 Cowboys. After a couple of miserable seasons of 3-13 records and a 1-15 season, the Cowboys turned it around in 1991 and went 11-5.
They even beat the Chicago Bears 17-13 up at Soldier Field, then eventually lost in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs to the Detriot Lions 38-6.
BUT it was the platform for the Cowboys winning three out of four Super Bowls in the 90s....so hopefully, a repeat of history will happen for my Cowboys...

Yep ... the Cowboys had plenty of oppurtunity to win that game. Very disappointing indeed.
You should stop by at my forums, and mourn the loss with fellow Dallas fans. I'm sure they could use the support.

Its so sad to. I wanted them to win so bad. If we wouldnt have got that false start at the end, it could have turned out better. I cant stand the Pats, but now that my boys wont win the superbowl, I hope they go ahead and win the whole thing. I definately dont want to see the Packers win, because I just really cant stand them, and no other team really stands a chance. What a depressing end...... got beat by the dang giants! I almost want to cry......

So much for the load mouth crap talking cowboys. What happened to (IF THE PATRIOTS) make the super bowl we will see them again but only if they get there . It never pays to shoot your mouth of.And if they had got to the super bowl the PATRIOTS would of spanked them again.

I am not your typical Cowboys fan... I love and will forever back them no matter what and always have. There was a reason my Cowboys were the #1 seed...NOT the #5 seed as the Giants were...There was a reason my Cowboys beat the Giants in the previous 2 meetings....today, my Cowboys didn't make the plays needed to win the game...PERIOD...Yes, the Giants played a good game but my Cowboys beat themselves with lack of the plays needed to win....again...PERIOD...

You can't be that surprised that the Cowboys lost this game. Consider this:
1. They have played incredibly inconsistent the last month of the season. The Giants are peaking right now.
2. Romo went on vacation during what is supposed to be the most important time of the season. Maybe he should've stayed home and watched film or something productive.
3. T.O. was not 100%.
4. The coordinators were too busy with head coaching interviews. Obviously, a huge distraction.

Well hate me all you want to but they are MY Cowboys. I'm only 31 years old but I bleed blue,silver,and gray. I was born and raised here in Dallas and still live here today. I HATE everyteam that isn't a Dallas team. I have taped every Cowboys game since i got my 1st VHS Recorder in 1991...I have never missed a Cowboys game... If I ever get blessed enough to get married, I will NOT get married during the Cowboys season. I have painted my house in exact Cowboys colors and honestly, I would DIE for my Cowboys so in saying all of that....I have earned to say yes, they are MY Cowboys.....do I own them?...No....Do I love them more than life itself almost? Yes bet ya....so in closing....learn the person before spouting off ignorance my way.

The Cowboys are a Giant steaming pile of Shit. Expect the same crap next year! I'd rather see them out of contention early next year, to avoid yet another let down year. Year after year its one train wreak after another. In my entire life of loving the Cowboys this is the worst feeling I've ever experienced. The Packers better hand the giants there asses in a sling. And shut that gap toothed mother fucker Michael Strahan up. What kind of assholes is "Wade the Worthless" going to hire afters all good coaches we had are departed. One will remain for sure, that worthless Special Teams Coach. The one responsible for giving opponents countless amounts of great field position. Opponents are praying he gets retained.

YOUR cowboys stunk up YOUR Texas Stadium and played average football. YOUR QB rushed the ball and lost his cool. YOUR WR lived up to his name of babydrop, YOUR O-line lost the battle on the line of scrimmage and if not the YOUR RB's it would have been a wash... and if you've a spare million or so to spend maybe you should maybe you should invest in some brains...growing up with and living and breathing a team makes you a die-hard fan...period. ATTENION to all NON-COWBOY fans Say what you want to say bash My BOYS until your mouths goes dry no matter what is said the bottom line is we the team lost. Period point blank it was not Romo’s fault alone, the holding, false start penalties, the dropped balls, the play calls the break down in the defense the offense not capitalizing on key plays/drives all that played a part. The Cowboys are a young team and the players make young stupid mistakes/decisions. Unfortunately those mistakes/decision lead to a season ending lose to yesterday. It’s over it happened let that be that we all know the team was not the same team we saw most of the season. The Redskins game SHOULD HAVE been an eye opener. No it did not make a difference if the game was won or lost but what did make a difference was the level of play our boys did not show. The Cowboys beat themselves yesterday we just happened to be playing the Giants when we did it.
All of you non-Cowboys fans are bashing us for one reason because now we are just like your teams no longer playing. Blame the lose on whoever you like the entire Cowboy team, Romo, TO, Wade or Jessica your job this week go and focus on the team you want to win more because your team did not make a play off appearance. Jumped on the bandwagons of Greenbay or New England or the two teams no one saw going to the championship game Giants or Chargers. If your lucky you might jump on that wagon that goes all the way otherwise it will be interesting seeing what is said on Monday when the team wagon you jumped on lost. You are acting as if penalties are just some sort of bad luck. Wade Phillips sucks. I know, I'm from Denver and watched him coordinate one of the worst defenses I've ever seen in my life. Phillips is now 0-4 in the playoffs. Who are you trying to kid? The Cowboys are screwed. No Shawn, the Cowboys lost because they are lazy, cocky, and undisciplined. They almost gave up an entire football field's worth of yardage in penalties. They outplayed the Giants but cost themselves the game by giving up 84 yards of penalties. I told you this was going to happen several days before the game when you were ranting about why the Cowboys were so good. Was this actually surprise to any Cowboys fans? The team fell apart in the last 4 games of the season. The teams that step it up towards the end of the season carrying momentum fare better in the playoffs. Phillips should have known this when his "laid-back" coaching style allowed the Cowboys to turn into a mediocre team.
You don't earn vacations to Mexico until the season is over. What the heck was Romo thinking? He looks like a total idiot now. He doesn't hold a candle to greats like Favre, Elway, and Brady. These guys always took/take the game seriously. Single season stats don't mean anything. If Romo can't win in the playoffs, he is a mediocre QB. Wade Phillips's casual response to the criticism of his team's late season slide to mediocrity should have been an early warning sign to Cowboys fans. "We're 13-3 and the No.1 seed. We are going to play fine". You can't just assume that you will play fine because you have in the past. You have to find out what you have been doing wrong and fix it. Obviously he couldn't fix it. I warned that if the Cowboys don't step out of this slump that they were going to get upset by the Giants. Phillips and Romo need to go in order for Dallas to ever have a shot at the Super Bowl. Sunday's game was an absolute disgrace. If I'm not mistaken it was the first time in NFL history that a No.1 seed failed to advance to the championship series.
