20 Women Who Athletes Are Obsessed With

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson recently said that he could be the next athlete to date a Kardashian.

Kim's name is mentioned quite a bit by athletes, but which other women are athletes obsessed with?

I've compiled a list of women that have been mentioned by athletes in interviews, videos, tweets, etc. and ranked them.

A lot of these women are in relationships right now, but the way that Hollywood works any one of them could be single tomorrow.

Our athletes sure hope so.

20. Jennie Finch

It's a fact: Athletes are attracted to athleticism. It's clear that Jennie Finch has a lot of that, and it doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes, either.

Finch is one of the best softball players of all time and gained notoriety when she went from city to city striking out major league baseball players. There's nothing athletes like more than competition, and Finch can certainly provide that.

19. Royce Reed

She may not be a household name, but Royce Reed is notorious in NBA circles. She is Dwight Howard's baby mama and starred in the reality show Basketball Wives despite never being married.

Royce used to be a dancer for the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat, so NBA players got to see quite a bit of her, which may explain the obsession.

Of course every guy that talks to her is afraid that Dwight Howard will come after him, so that's got to hurt her chances a little bit. 

18. Cameron Diaz

Alex Rodriguez isn't the only athlete obsessed with Cameron Diaz. Her best attribute is her sense of humor, which athletes seem to love.

She starred in one of the most memorable comedies of all-time, There's Something About Mary, so she clearly has no problem with a little dirty humor. Just don't ask to borrow her hair gel.

It's not hard to see why athletes are obsessed with Serena Williams. With that DNA (yes, that's a "D", not a "T"...get your mind out of the gutter), she could produce mega-offspring with another top athlete.

Imagine if Dwight Howard and Serena Williams had a son? I'm guessing he wouldn't get picked last in a game of kickball.

16. Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano is a serial athlete-dater, and the feeling is definitely mutual.

She's been linked to Carl Pavano, Barry Zito and Brad Penny, so she clearly has a thing for pitchers who were once good but suddenly became terrible.

15. Karina Smirnoff

Karina Smirnoff is a dancer known for her work on Dancing With The Stars, but she also has a connection to athletes.

She never partnered with an athlete on the show, but she is currently engaged to St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Brad Penny. Not sure how Penny keeps landing these women (he previously dated Alyssa Milano), but the man clearly gets it done.

With the Cardinals clubhouse tuned into the show every week, Smirnoff will be the obsession of the MLB in no time.

The link between athletes and rappers has always been strong, so it's no surprise that athletes would be obsessed with Mrs. Jay-Z, also known as Beyonce.

She clearly knows how to handle the lifestyle, and she can always cheer you up after a bad game with a nice choreographed dance routine.

Clearly Beyonce would be the best wife OF ALL TIME!

13. Erin Andrews

It's not hard to see why athletes are obsessed with Erin Andrews. She was a cheerleader at the University of Florida and a sideline reporter for ESPN.

Athletes are naturally drawn to cheerleaders and her sports knowledge can be nothing but a plus. Unless of course she starts critiquing your performance at home, "Let's break down the film on the way you put away those dishes!" 

12. Eva Longoria

Newly single Eva Longoria is once again at the top of athletes' lists. She clearly knows how to support an athlete...as long as you don't cheat on her with your ex-teammate's wife.

Longoria chose Tony Parker, who can barely speak English, so her standards must not be too high. May we suggest that her next conquest be Rays All-Star Evan Longoria?

11. Tyra Banks

There will always be a special place in athletes' hearts for Tyra Banks. She had a highly publicized relationship with Chris Webber and also did a song with Kobe Bryant.

It probably had something to do with a certain SI swimsuit cover during their formative years. Even though she's gone a little crazy in the past few years, there are still many athletes out there that would love to have the novelty of dating Tyra. 

10. Kendra Wilkinson

She may be married and have a kid, but that doesn't stop athletes from obsessing over Kendra Wilkinson.

She's been in Playboy, so you know her picture is up in a few locker rooms. Plus now she's a reality star, and we all know about the athlete-reality star connection. If she takes home the Dancing With The Stars crown, she might be up for a change of scenery.

If she were to dump Hank, she'd probably head for a San Diego Charger, since that's her favorite team. Is Philip Rivers on the market?

9. Kym Johnson

Football players have a strong track record on Dancing With The Stars, and that's due in part to the tutelage of professional dancer Kym Johnson.

She helped train Warren Sapp and got the big fella all the way to the finale. This year she's partnered with Hines Ward, who had a strong showing in the first episode.

Word gets around in the NFL, and players are definitely buzzing about Kym. 

8. Leeann Tweeden

As a correspondent for Fox's Best Damn Sports Show Period, Leeann Tweeden became well-known among athletes.

She dated Josh Beckett in 2004, and he went on to help the Red Sox win the World Series in 2007, so maybe she's a good luck charm. Every player on the Cubs roster is definitely interested.

She was born and raised in Canada, so it's easy to see why Elisha Cuthbert seems to have a thing for hockey players.

She's been linked to Sean Avery, Mike Komisarek, and Dion Phaneuf, so it's safe to say that she's on the radar of NHL players.

At least we know that if two of them start fighting over her, after they're done beating the crap out of each other they'll pat each other on the butt and go out for beers.

Jessica Biel was one of the many women in Derek Jeter's life, but that doesn't stop other athletes from being obsessed with her.

She clearly displayed her baseball knowledge as a Cape Cod League groupie in Summer Catch, so maybe that's why she has a certain charm with baseball players.

As long as you can throw harder than Freddie Prinze, Jr., you've got a chance.

5. Gisele Bundchen

It's obvious that many athletes aspire to be like Tom Brady. He's got the rings, the looks, and of course, the girl. So if athletes aspire to be like Brady it's only natural that they aspire to be with Gisele.

The legendary Victoria's Secret model is locked up right now, but if Tom keeps rocking that pony tail she may be single sooner than you think.

4. Adriana Lima

While we can't be surprised that Tom Brady snagged one of the hottest models in the world, athletes are absolutely stunned that NBA scrub Marko Jaric landed an even hotter model, Adriana Lima.

Athletes must be thinking that if they perform well enough they'll be able to pull a robbery on Lima. I mean, Jaric's already out of the NBA and it's not like he's really, really, ridiculously good-looking or anything.

Athletes must be shaking their heads.

3. Kim Kardashian

If you're an athlete, Kim's name has to be at the top of your list. Reggie Bush, Miles Austin and now Kris Humphries all know that she has no problem dating a high- (or low-) profile athlete.

Adrian Peterson recently said that he might consider dating Kim, but then said that he liked Khloe's personality a bit more.

2. Halle Berry

It's hard to find a human on Earth (man or woman) who doesn't think Halle Berry is beautiful, and athletes are no exception.

She's consistently named when athletes are asked about their ideal woman. On a related note, when asked about their favorite movie, a disproportionate amount of athletes mention Swordfish.

I wonder why.

1. Jessica Alba

The hottie of all hotties, you won't find a girl who athletes are obsessed with more than Jessica Alba.

She's played everything from a superhero to a stripper, so maybe athletes feel she'll be able to adapt well to their hectic lifestyle.

She's a huge Lakers fan, so it may be hard to pry her away from the Purple and Gold. But that certainly won't stop other players from trying.
