March Madness Bracket 2011: Big East Struggles Put To Haiku

The first weekend of the NCAA tournament has come to a close. Depending on who you cheer for, it was filled with joy, frustration or sadness. The Big East was the most active team during the weekend, so in honor of their presence, the following haiku summarize their performances.

Big East fail again
First weekend sees little wins
Nine Big East losers

Three Cinderellas
Two Big East teams left to play
Who should be in dance

Panthers lose early
Who could take out the top seed
The Butler did it

Irish lose big game
Florida State lives to play
Golic sad again

Cardinals fall quickly
Block of shot ends the team's dreams
Mile High really bad

Orange make Round 2
Golden Eagles win next game
Orange seeing red

Red Storm fizzle out
Lavin wonders what is next
Seniors go bye bye

Huggins' team loses
Wildcats send them packing home
Dejection sets in

Bearcats make Round 2
But Kemba is very good
Huskies win the game

Georgetown struggled late
VCU belongs in dance
Hoyas big time bust

UConn Big East Best
Make Sweet 16 this year
Will they win next game?

Villanova bad

Dancing not deserved
