As you well know TNA Impact is a taped show as Smackdown and ECW are currently, Smackdown will probably go live within the next couple of months, but since there is so many developmental wrestlers on ECW it will not be.
Anyway to Impact, they have decided to go Live simply because Spike TV told them they wanted them to. And who can blame them, they hd WWE RAW on Spike (or as it was known then TNN, which changed to Spike a year before WWE left) for years.
So I don't think its asking for a lot, many wrestlers in TNA especially home grown talent have only been live for PPVs, and never for the free Spike show, other than the former WWE talent.
I think it will be interesting to see how they cope with it, considering it will be the first time Impact is shown live. And Impact is seen way more than their TNA PPVs, so it gets really interesting then.
They can't start over with entrances or edit matches for anything, because the show is on a timed schedule, going live always presents a problem for any show, not just wrestling so having them do it for the first time is even worse for them.
Mainly because their PPVs are not timed or edited for any reason because of it being a PPV. And you can have anything on PPVs you want, and mistakes have been made before, so it would not be the first time if something does not go according to plan.
Tickets for the 10/23/08 Live IMPACT! broadcast from the Joint in the Hard Rock Cafe & Casino in Las Vegas will go on sale on 10/3/08 at 12PM PT. Ticket prices will be $23, $33, $43, and $63. So go see the show.
What do you think, will TNA do well live or buckle under the pressure?
