Al Davis at one point was the man who created the mystique of the Raider Nation; he made them the bad boys of the NFL, hated by everyone who had the misfortune to play against them.

Now everyone hates them because of their now-senile owner and all his antics. Davis said he won't retire until the Raiders win two Super Bowls. What that means is he's taking the Raiders organization to the grave with him.
