There were two big upsets on Thursday, and they both came at the Pepsi Center.

No. 13 seed Morehead State upset the No. 4 seed Louisville Cardinals, while the No. 12 seed Richmond Spiders sent the No. 5 seed Vanderbilt Commodores home early.

One of these two teams will advance to the Sweet Sixteen, as they are set to face off this Saturday in the round of 32.

Tip-off is set for 5:15 ET and will be televised national on CBS.

While hardly anyone had the Eagles knocking off Louisville, there were quite a few brackets that had Richmond moving on and looking at the NCAA Tournament odds for their upcoming matchup, the Spiders are favored by four points over Morehead State.

The Eagles got off to an incredible start against Louisville, scoring the first 10 points of the game. The Cardinals answered and were able to tie the game at 33-33 going into halftime.

Morehead State went on 16-4 run in the second half to take a 57-52 with just over five minutes to go, but Louisville came storming back to take a two point lead with just 1:14 on the clock.

With the Eagles down two, Demonte Harper decided to go for the win and was on the money, giving Morehead State a 62-61 lead with just 4.2 seconds left on the clock.

Harper was the hero, but the player that deserves a lot of the credit for the win is center Kenneth Faried, who had 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Terrance Hill led the Eagles with 23 points, thanks to 5-6 shooting from three-point range.

It wasn't easy for the Spiders either, as their 69-66 win over Vanderbilt also came down to the final minutes. Richmond actually trailed 48-39 early in the second half, but thanks to a three-point show by Kevin Anderson, the Spiders went on a 12-0 run to close the gap and take the lead.

Justin Harper had 13 points and Francis-Cedric Martel came off the bench to score 12, but Anderson was the reason the Spiders are still dancing. He went 10-24 from the field, including 4-9 from long distance to score a game-high 25 points.

When you look at the matchup for Saturday, it is going to come down to which of these teams can regroup after incredible wins in their first game. Morehead State appears to have the advantage inside, while Richmond counters with great outside shooting.

One thing to keep an eye on, is how these two teams shoot from the free throw line: Richmond went just 5-12 (41.7 percent), while Morehead State went just 11-18 (61.1 percent).

Our college basketball handicappers have been all over both of these teams of late.

Richmond is 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral site games, while Morehead State is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.

It looks like we could have another thriller in Denver headed our way.
