It had been 11 months, October 21, 2007 to be exact, since the Kansas City Chiefs had won a football game. The suspense ended on Sunday in K.C. as the Chiefs shocked the Denver Broncos 33-19.
Larry Johnson, who had thought he was being run out of town, may have run that far on the field with his 198 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Late in the game, LJ busted out a 16 yard run to the endzone to seal the victory.
The win snaps a franchise worst 12 game losing skid. The Broncos drop to 3-1 on the season. Next week, the Chiefs head to Charlotte to face the NFC South leading Carolina Panthers (3-1).
