Well, we wondered why Brett Favre stuck around, and after yesterday's career-best six touchdown passes, we understand he still has something left in the tank. The Jets (2-2) knocked off the Arizona Cardinals 56-35 at Giants Stadium on Sunday.
After a scoreless first, Favre and the Jets put up 34 in the second quarter, in what resembled Saturday's Alabama, Georgia game. The only difference was the Jets, being professionals did not let their nasty throwbacks be a set-back, like the Bulldogs' "Black Out" did over the weekend.
The Cards, led by Kurt Warner (472 yards, 2 TD), got within a couple scores, but a three touchdown performance in the fourth sealed the win for New York.
The Jets could be sitting pretty in the AFC East with their next three games against Cincinnati, at Oakland and Kansas City. Kickoff for the Bengals vs. Jets game is 1 p.m. in East Rutherford.
