Perfect Peace Whata Blessing/Keenland September Sale
Now, other people's horses: If the Keeneland Thoroughbred Auction Sale Index (see "My Five Seconds of Fame" link) is of any value to the future economic activity (which is doubtful), then we are certainly not in a recession. A slow down yes, but not a recession and certainly not a crisis. Keeneland just concluded its 4th highest gross for September yearling sale in history. The sold about $328 million worth of animals. Yes it is down from last year. Last year was the 2nd highest ($380 million) and the year before is the record ($399 million).
