After a close call against Washington, BYU has been lights out. In the two games since then, the Cougars have outscored their opponents 103-0. Yes, one of those teams was Wyomming and the other was a weak UCLA team, but over 100 points in two weeks plus two shutouts is too impressive to ignore. Not playing a ranked team until the final week may bump this team into the top 5 within a matter of weeks.

Have beaten team badly this year and look like a BCS bowl team right now.

College Football Fanatic #7
Like I said last week, if BYU continues on this roll, we may have to consider them for more than just a BCS bowl spot.

Jesse Monday #7
Still doesn't make any sense.

Josh Rosenberg #7
Looks like the Mountain West Championship will be unbeaten BYU versus unbeaten Utah.

Scott Glesner #7
BYU remains as the second-best team in the Pac-10...oh so close to being number one.

Non-BCS conferences, we have a real winner here.

Brigham Young has cruised to two straight shutout victories. But, they only play one ranked team for the rest of the season.

Not entirely out of the question that they could play for the National Championship.

Will Chambers #8
Cougars look good and with the remaining schedule looking to be in their favor, they could be looking at a BCS game this year.

Timothy Croley #8
Quietly sitting there just waiting to be the spoiler.

Are they as good as the top teams in the SEC or Big XII? Maybe not, but if they can get to a BCS bowl they have a chance to prove me wrong.

Colin Clark #8
The road still looks tough before you can put money on BYU for a BCS game (Air Force, Utah, TCU).

James Doker #8
Looked stellar so far, but that domination of UCLA is losing its luster by the week.

Great offense. Underrated defense. Beat UCLA 59-0! 2 weeks after UCLA upset Tennessee and gave Fresno St. all they could handle. I think BYU has a great shot to run the table and get a BCS bowl but I do think the computer will rank them lower than big conference teams when the BCS comes out. They are a team that could play competitively with a lot of teams but I am not sure if they would win. Plus, they were a bad call away from possibly losing to Washington who is absolutely dreadful.

Haven't beat anybody yet but shutting out two Bowl division teams is imprressive. Lets see how they perform on the road.

Joe Bleacher #8
Other than the hiccup against Washington they have blown every team out. Great offense.

Owen Munro #8

Derrek Croney #8
Who is to say the Cougars won't shutout Utah State this week, and run their shutout streak to 12 quarters?

Ryan Gemmell #8
Other than the hiccup against Washington they have blown every team out. Great offense.

Kristofer Green #8

Jeffrey McDaniel #9
The Cougars benefitted from having the week off, just like Missouri and Texas Tech. It remains to be seen if they are the real deal.

Can we please see this team on national TV?

Zach Stevens #10
BYU falls in behind USC and South Florida because they're still better teams than the Cougars. Let's be serious...
