We've now officially reached Madness stage.
Okay, so perhaps the first four games that start tonight in Dayton are a little anti-climatic and have the same feeling the Play-In Game had for the last few years. But, the NCAA Tournament officially starts tonight.
And as you rush to fill out your bracket, you're probably trying to predict all the upsets, trying hard not to put all four No. 1 seeds in the Final Four (although for me, that always seems to happen anyway) and trying to predict everything that could happen.
There's just one problem with that: You can't predict madness.
Okay, even I thought that line was bad, but it's true. As much as you can calculate and the experts can break down game film, it's still a single-elimination tournament, and the old adage of any team can be beaten on any given day still holds true. As much as we may say so, I doubt anyone had George Mason making the Final Four back in 2006, nor did anyone think Butler would be a half-court shot away from being National Champions last year.
So with that in mind, we decided it was time to look into the crystal ball and perhaps see some scenarios that might be wild, crazy, out of left field and might have you scratching your head. But, the one thing that can tie all of these scenarios together: They can all happen because of the magic that is the NCAA Tournament.
These are the scenarios ranging from the out of left field upsets to the sleeper teams that might come out of a region or at least do some damage to college basketball fans and brackets alike. So without further ado, here are some crazy scenarios that could come true.
