2011 CIT Starts off with Buffalo (18-13) Against Quinnipiac (22-9)

The first matchup in the 24-team CIT actually takes place tonight at 7 PM. The matchup will pit the 18-13 Buffalo Bulls against the 22-9 Quinnipiac Bobcats. The Bobcats not only have the advantage record-wise with their 22 wins, but the game will also take place at Connecticut.

One other thing that gives them an advantage? According to the Quinnipiac Bobcats Press Release:

"The game will mark the first time Quinnipiac has hosted a national postseason tournament game in its Division I history."

That's not something Quinnipiac will just shrug off. Having that advantage will be huge. Being second in the nation in rebounds is huge as well. As for Buffalo, they can make things happen as well. Zach Filzen is averaging 15.7 points a game and can carry the team when he needs to.

I think this will be closer than the records will indicate, but Quinnipiac has too many advantages, and so long as James Johnson doesn't miss too many shots, they are safe. 66-59 for the Bobcats.
