Talk about a story being blown out of proportion by the media. So it's something he's never done before, ok I get that. Just say it and move on. There were better games to be covered and to be analyzed like the Washington-Dallas game, but instead all that was talked about is how Favre threw those 6 touchdowns. The reason why Favre never threw more then 5 in a game before Sunday was because he always had a decent running game, the Jets do not have that. Thomas Jones hasn't done much this season, but if he had he would have had 2 or 3 touchdowns instead of Favre throwing for the 6. Jones so far this season has 1 touchdown in 4 games.

The 6 touchdowns aren't that impressive either. Look at who the Jets were playing the Arizona Cardinals. It was the Cardinals begging Favre to throw the ball to the end zone. I mean if a team doesn't score a lot of points after a team fumbles 4 times and is intercepted 3 times then there's something wrong with the offense. What the media should have done was talk about how inept the Cardinals looked against the Jets. If the Cardinals had not turned the ball over so much they may have won this game, since the Cardinals thought it was a game of hot potatoe that never happened and it's sad that the media is so fixated on Favre's 6 touchdowns when it wasn't that big of a deal.

The top stories for the day were the Redskins being able to handle the Cowboys specifically how Shawn Springs and the Redskins defense kept Terrell Owens at bay and held Marion Barber to only 46 yards rushing. The second story that should have been covered and the media did a great job with the emotional story of Matt Bryant who's 3 month old son had died earlier in the week. The last story of the day that should have been talked about even more then Favre did come out of the Cardinals and Jets game was the hit on Anquan Boldin who had to be carted off the field.
