Editors' Note:

Previously one of our writers posted a highly insensitive article in this space comparing the recent events in Japan to substantially less destructive sports natural disasters, and one of our editors made the poor choice to promote the article. We are dealing with this internally and will hold ourselves accountable.

Rather than delete the article, our first instinct, we would like to redirect any attention coming to this page to encourage donations to support the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Bleacher Report will also be making a $1,000 donation to the Red Cross to support in aid of the victims.

To donate, visit the following sites:

https://american.redcross.org/site/Donation2?idb=0&5052.donation=form1&df_id=5052

http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/japan-earthquake-tsunami-relief/

Text redcross to 90999 to make a $10 donation. It will be on your next cell bill.
