It has been announced on WWE.com that The Rock will be appearing on Raw the night after he hosts  WrestleMania 27.

The event will take place in Atlanta. Here is the official story from WWE.com:

"Just 24 hours after WrestleMania XXVII Host Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson takes the reins of The Show of Shows, 'the most electrifying man in entertainment' will be appearing on Monday Night Raw, live in Atlanta.

Tune in to Raw at 9/8 CT on Monday, April 4the night after WrestleManiato find out what The People’s Champ is cookin’."

This can only be good news for the WWE, as it seems to dispel some of the rumours that The Rock is only back for short period of time, and may well mean that he will live up to his word when he says that he will "never, ever go away" from the WWE.

Even if The Rock is only working a limited part-time schedule, or a casual schedule, the fact that he is under the WWE moniker is huge for WWE and the fans.

It will be interesting to see what business The Rock will have to attend to on April 4th, as you would think that would have been taken care of at WrestleMania. Whatever it is, it's sure to provide a massive ratings boost to Raw the night after WrestleMania and before the debut of Tough Enough.

All thoughts welcome!
