Al Davis and his Oakland Raiders are definitely the busiest team this 2011 NFL offseason. After getting a plethora of things done in a very short time, things finally seem to be cooling down a bit now that the league year has ended and Oakland can no longer re-sign its own players.

In spite of recent questions about the Raiders being answered, there's still many stones left unturned.

In this article, I'll give my honest opinion on issues with the Silver and Black. This might turn into a weekly thing. Enjoy.

What does Chuck Bresnahan bring to the table at defensive coordinator?

Yesterday the Raiders finally named a defensive coordinator. As expected, it was Chuck Bresnahan. He'd been on the staff for around a month. Bresnahan was the defensive coordinator for the Raiders from 2000 to 2003 and he oversaw three straight AFC West champion defenses for the Raiders.

Now, Oakland hopes to bring back some of the magic by giving Chuck a second shot. From what I've heard, Bresnahan is an optimistic, cheerful individual who expects the best from his players.

If you're hoping for a sudden change in scheme for the Raiders, though, don't. Chuck is a typical Raider guy, and we'll be seeing much of the same. However, expect some disguised coverages and a 4-3/3-4 hybrid defense. Other than that, it'll be the same old Raiders.

Where should the Raiders draft in round two?

Who should the Raiders draft in the second round?

In the 2011 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders don't have a first-round selection. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing, as they won't be paying a first-round salary either.

Multiple times, however, the Raiders have been golden in Round 2. This year will be no different. Assuming we re-sign Nnamdi Asomugha (more on that later), I think the Raiders would do well to take a look at offensive linemen Stefen Wisniewski and Marcus Cannon, while also evaluating outside linebacker Martez Wilson.

Those three would improve the team and contend for starting spots.

How does Oakland replace Robert Gallery and Michael Huff?

It has been confirmed that former first round pick Robert Gallery will not be returning to the Raiders next season. His likely destination is Seattle with former Raiders coach Tom Cable. Now, rumors are swirling that another former first round selection, safety Michael Huff, will not be returning to the Silver and Black for 2011.

Robert Gallery is replaceable. For months I talked about how backup Daniel Loper played well when Gallery was hurt. Now, Loper got a hefty raise and looks to start in place of Gallery. Nice.

With Huff, it seems more and more like he'll be signing with the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune has speculated that veteran Hiram Eugene will be taking his spot. Eugene signed a contract that pays him up to three million dollars for the final year.

I don't think that necessarily means he'll be starting. Eugene was vital on special teams. It seems to me that Mike Mitchell and Stevie Brown will be getting their chances to shine soon. Tyvon Branch could be on the trading block as well.

Will Nnamdi Asomugha re-sign with the Raiders?

Speculation has been rampant that both Nnamdi Asomugha and Oakland are about ready to part ways.

Second corner Stanford Routt just got the Al Davis blessing with a contract that pays him about ten million dollars a year. Truth is, he played just as well as Nnamdi Asomugha and was surpassed only by Darrelle Revis in completion percentage given up.

However, I do think Asomugha will be back. Winners won't be willing to pay what the Raiders are willing to, and with Oakland on the cusp of a playoff berth it seems likely to me that Nnamdi will stay with his one true love: California.
