After three months of waiting for Mats Sundin and Teemu Selanne to sign, one of them has finally made a decision.

Selanne is returning to Anaheim for two more years on a $5.25 million contract.

One word can accurately describe this situation here: FINALLY.

One of these guys finally decided to make a decision and stopped making at least three teams sit there and wait. However, this puts Anaheim in an interesting position yet again. They are nearly $1 million over the cap. I have not been following Anaheim's training camp, so I can't say who Anaheim is going to move.

This year will be very interesting for Anaheim as over half their payroll will come off the books after this season. Or, in other words, they will have approximately $34 million to spend.

In other hockey news, Nikolai Khabibulin was scratched in tonight's game. In my opinion, this means one of two things. One: They do not want to risk him being injured, especially at his age. Or, two: He is about to be traded.

I think it is the former, as Tallon has stated they will keep Khabibulin and Cristobal Huet despite the amount of money that is tied up in them. So just something to watch out for in the coming days as the regular season draws closer.

Quick Note: Khabibulin is on waivers...
