It was just a week ago when Arsenal youngsters were flying high in the Carling Cup and newspapers and headlines were quoting that this is the best bunch of Arsenal youngsters that had ever been seen.
Articles such as "Best Kids On The Planet & Kids Running Riot" can be described as the best Arsenal moments for Arsenal Football Club for a long long time. In reality, after the weekend's shock defeat to Hull City sent shock-waves to all Arsenal fans and especially me.
And the manner of defeat, to a team who just got promoted and most pundits also predict that are gonna get relegated, will be especially disappointing.
And the Emirates was supposed to be a fortress for Arsenal. The only other team who beat Arsenal was West Ham, with Bobby Zamora the only goalscorer in that game. But in this defeat against Hull, Arsenal needed an own goal from Hull to get out from a scary defeat.
Arsenal still have to face the lights of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Man City with already losses in the bag. They really cant afford to lose any more games after this, and they really cant afford to drop any more points when they visit the Stadium of Light to face the new-look Sunderland—with former Man Utd bad-boy Roy Keane as their manager.
Before that they face stiff competition in the Champions League against FC Porto, and I'm really hoping that Arsenal shut down all the critics once and for all.
