When Emmanuel Adebayor joined Arsenal in 2006 from Monaco most people wondered whether he would fit the bill. He was big,tall and quick but could he finish. He was hardworking, strong and great in the air  but could he lead the line. Well in his first two seasons you would say no.

But when henry left the club for pastures new with barcelona he came alive. When the pundits said arsenal would not have a 20-25 goal a season striker well Adebayor scored thirty. He was a relevation last season he was the third top goalscorer last season and was named in the premier league team of the season .Plus one of the contenders for PFA player of the year award. He was Arsenal's hero last year.When nothing went right ,the chips were down who was the main threat ,yes you guessed it Adebayor.

But this season he has been in my opinion horrendous .Although he bagged a hattrick against Blackburn who would'nt get a hattrick when Blackburn would defend so poorly. Not only has he missed chances he looks like he doesnt care anymore .Last season as soon as he would venture near the penalty box he would shoot. Now he looks for the pass .Last season he would old the ball up nicely and make openings for his teammates. Now he looks laboured and can't seem to fend off defenders anymore.

Right now Arsenal need the Adebayor we have all known to love the never-ending running, the powerful physical perfomances and the towering headers that have made him such a handful , the Adebayor of last season. Not the Adebayor we have come to hate the missed chances, the lazy offsides, the belief that he his better than henry, the Adebayor of this season
