Brad Keselowski Standing By For Ill Jeff Gordon

Early in weekend we learned that Jeff Gordon had not been feeling well. And during practice his team stayed at a distance because they didn't want to catch what he had, they also had a hard time hearing him on the radio because of his sore throat.

Today during an interview with ABC during the pre-race show, Gordon thanked his team for the hard work they did this weekend because he felt like he wasn't doing much of anything. We then learned that Nationwide Series regular and Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Brad Keselowski, will be standing by if Gordon can not complete the entire race.

When the race starts, since Gordon will be in the car, he will still get the points, and then if he feels ill and needs to get out, Keselowski will be available to finish the Camping World RV 400 in the DuPont car.

However, earlier today Gordon's crew chief, Steve Letarte, said that Gordon had a good night's rest and should be able to complete the entire 400 miles.
