Dimitar Berbatov is one of the best strikers in the Premiership today—and one of the most talked about this month.
Debates are ongoing about whether he is staying until the end of the season, or will be going this month as part of Juande Ramos' new year player purge.
Advice has been hitting Berbatov left, right and centre about making a move to Chelsea to suit his Champions League ambitions.
Also, as usual, all the desperate-for-a-sensational-story tabloids and pundits are making up a different story about Berbatov and the rest of the Tottenham squad every day.
Here's the truth for all those pundits and stirrers reading this right now:
I'm sick of the rumours about who Ramos is selling. He isn't being hasty in selling ANYBODY right now. Even Berbatov himself has said that he doesn't like all these rumours about him getting transferred. Jermaine Defoe has also said that he isn't leaving the club and has signed a new 5 year contract to that effect.
But of course you wouldn't really care about what a footballer or manager says unless he's retiring or been involved in a punch-up at their local pub. You just chew them up and spit them out when you're finished twisting their quotes.
Not only that, you are also upsetting devout Tottenham fans, like myself, who don't want to see one of their best players get influenced to leave the squad by people who don't hear the full story on how Berbatov truly feels at that club.
Now, go write a decent, truthful story about the more passionate side of football, such as the praising of players for their talent—NOT the side that can upset players and ruin their careers, all for cheap, desperate attempts at a story and mega profits.
