Well it's finally here.

All the weeks of speculation, rumors and hearsay have led to this day: NHL trade deadline day. The day that can make a fringe team a contender, a contender a favorite, or set a number of teams back years and cost a host of front office types their jobs.

What fun.

Obviously like any trade deadline, it's an inexact science. And more often than not, it's the small moves rather than the big splashes that end up paying the biggest dividends. But this is one of the few days of the hockey year where every fan, every team has hope that the fate of a franchise can change today.

Some of the big names are already off the board, and it's been relatively quiet so far.

In fact we've only had a minor trade today as of this posting, with Radek Dvorak going  from Florida to Atlanta for Niclas Bergfors. But the rumors are still flying fast and furious and they will be for the next few hours until 3 p.m. Eastern when the trade deadline comes, especially since Brad Richards and Ales Hemsky are still on the market.

Until then, this is the place to be for all the latest news, rumors and deals as the deadline closes in. So keep reading for all the latest updates.
