The 10 Wildest, Sexiest WAGs in World Football

Pop quiz for all of you world football WAG fans out there: How was the term "WAG" coined?

It happened during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, when the wives and girlfriends of the English national team drank, spent and partied their way through the tournament, tearing apart the German town of Baden-Baden. 

Today, the WAGs of world football are much more prevalent than they were then, and while they've calmed down a bit, they still know how to find their wild sides.

In fact, these 10 wonderfully sexy WAGs show us just what happens when WAGs go wild.

They are the 10 most infamous, most scandalous and hardest-partying wives and girlfriends in all of world soccer, and as you'll see, the title is well deserved. 

No. 10: Vanessa Perroncel

Typically, you hear these stories from the perspective of a man cheating on his wife with another woman.

But, in the case of Vanessa Perroncel and John Terry, it's not just Terry who finds himself under the microscope (although he was more than anyone else). 

After all, Perroncel was the former girlfriend of one of Terry's closest friends, fellow England International Wayne Bridge!

Perroncel didn't just pick some random married footballer to sleep with—she chose her ex's close friend!

But That's Not All

After all, Perroncel, a French lingerie model, had been around in the tabloid headlines for quite a while for her raucous behavior.

She was one of the original WAGs in 2006, closing down every bierhaus the WAG brigade hit and generally being a nuisance to the townspeople who were just trying to go about their daily lives. 

Who knows? Perhaps it was their time in Germany when the sparks flew between Vanessa and John.

But no matter what, she definitely knows how to go wild.

No. 9: Elen Rives

Rives was the longtime girlfriend and fiancee of Chelsea star Frank Lampard. The Spanish model split from her famous beau in 2007, taking a considerable chunk of his earnings with her.

He was caught with other women on two separate occasions, but after her performance at the 2006 World Cup, Rives certainly deserves a spot on the list. 

Elen Gives Us a Show

While Rives didn't go out with the girls every night in Baden-Baden, when she did, she made sure she was noticed. 

Most noticeable amongst the debauchery of the trip was an incident at Gary's, a bar in the village.

Rives had thrown a few back and, like any good WAG, wanted to give the patrons a show whether they wanted it or not. 

So she climbed on the table and did an impromptu table dance, drawing cheers from her compatriots and groans from the normal citizens trying to enjoy a night out. 

No. 8: Coleen Rooney

Shocked to see Mrs. Rooney on this list?

Me too.

Especially since she has become such a model citizen in recent years, even standing by husband Wayne Rooney after he got caught with his hand in someone else's cookie jar. 

But, under that demure exterior lies a WAG waiting to go wild, evidenced by her showing at the 2006 World Cup.

Getting Her Drink On

During those wild evenings, Coleen took the opportunity to let her hair down in a big way, joining in the raucous, spontaneous parties in bars.

She was frequently seen drinking champagne straight from the bottle, although, unlike most on this list, she didn't start stripping, flashing or singing at anyone. 

Still, after drinking out of a jeroboam of champagne (which is equivalent to four bottles) without even bothering to use a glass, it's clear why she's one of the classier WAGs on the list. 

No. 7: Victoria Beckham

Posh has turned herself into quite the demure picture of the WAG world, epitomizing grace and class almost every time she's seen in public. 

Notice, though, I did say almost every time. 

It all began (as most drunken WAG stories do) during the World Cup in 2006. Victoria didn't go out with her fellow WAGs much, but that didn't stop her from thoroughly enjoying herself (and allowing herself to be photographed) while incredibly intoxicated.

But the good times didn't stop there. 

Every once in a while, Mrs. Beckham hits the town, and when she does, she hits it hard. 

Like, stumbling-the-10'-from-the-club-doors-to-her-car hard. Like, slurring-to-paparazzi hard. 

Basically, she pretty much epitomizes class. 

No. 6: Nives Celsius

The wife of German footballer Dino Drpic (I know, I know), Celsius has been steaming up the Croatian editions of Playboy for a while now. 

But, given her brushes with the law and her occasional disdain for wearing clothes in public, it's clear she knows how to go wild. 

Flashing a Cop: Never a Good Idea

Apart from the fact that she has never been photographed fully clothed, this Croatian WAG doesn't take too kindly to being told to put clothes on. 

She once flashed police officers who approached her during a photo shoot, and has told multiple media outlets about boinking Drpic on the pitch after a match. 

The scary part is, she wasn't intoxicated in any of those situations. 

No. 5: Abbey Clancy

You know Abbey—she's been a perennial contender for "World's Hottest WAG," despite being married to Peter Crouch. 

She's also one of WAGdom's most notorious partiers, a woman who is seldom seen sober after 8:00 P.M.

Why?

Clancy has been frequently seen drinking with Crouch, which, given Peter's proclivity toward intoxicated indescretions, might be more of a preventative maneuver than one designed to make her go wild. 

Even so, there are few things funnier than watching one of the hottest WAGs on Earth stumble around and argue with her equally inebriated husband. 

No.4: Danielle Lloyd

Lloyd has long been one of the more controversial figures in the world of football wives and girlfriends. 

After all, she's been on many fans' "crazy list" since her racist tirade as a member of the cast of Big Brother in 2007, but Jamie O'Hara's wife also finds herself on the WAGs Gone Wild List thanks to an incident in 2009.

Danielle Lloyd Goes Wild by Getting Beaten Up

In 2009, Lloyd was at a bar in London when she was the victim of an unprovoked attack. She was thrown into a table full of glasses and required surgery to repair a gash in her leg. 

Needless to say, the paparazzi snapped pictures of a drunken, bloodied Lloyd on the curb, and proved to WAGs everywhere the importance of knowing the bar you're going to. 

No. 3: Lisa Roughead

The wife of English midfielder (sensing a pattern here?) Michael Carrick, Roughead is typically a quieter WAG, content out of the spotlight.

But, as we saw in 2006, when she wants to, she can truly go wild with the best of them. 

Lisa Plays Really Nice with Others

Roughead made headlines as part of England's WAG invasion of Baden-Baden in 2006.

There, after getting good and drunk, she proceeded to make out with fellow WAG Carly Zucker, giving Lisa a night she won't soon forget (assuming she remembers the next day).

No. 2: Carly Zucker

Ah, yes. Carly Zucker, the wife of English footballer Joe Cole. 

She's a notorious partier who loves the drink as much as anyone and tends to go a bit bonkers when she gets her hands on it.

We've covered her encounter with Lisa Roughead, but her fun times don't stop there. 

Leader of the Pack

Zucker wasn't just a participant in Baden-Baden; according to most media outlets, she was the ringleader. 

Since then, Mrs. Cole has been seen at her fair share of clubs, bars and other drinking establishments, and is frequently linked to socialite/wild girls like Katie Jordan.

One can only assume that those two truly tear up the town when they're out together. 

No. 1: Alex Gerrard

The wife of English footballing legend Steven Gerrard, Alex is also by far the sport's most notorious party animal. 

It's not that she goes out more than most; in fact, she's been a bit of a homebody (relatively speaking) in recent years. 

So, what makes her the most infamous WAG Gone Wild of all time?

What Happened?

Here's how Gerrard earned herself the top spot: She got arrested. 

In 2006 (a banner year for WAG infamy, really), the Liverpool WAG found herself under arrest under the suspicion of assault after an incident at Shangri-La Restaurant in Liverpool. 

She had been accused of hitting another patron with a bottle during the fight, and was charged with assault. 

However, the charges were dropped, and the future Mrs. Gerrard was allowed free on bail. 

Even so, being accused of assault is more than enough to merit "wildest WAG" status.
