UFC 127 took place on Saturday, February 26th, at Sydney's Australia's Acer Arena.
The main event on the card was welterweight contenders B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch fighting to a three-round majority decision draw.
The co-main event had a some controversial moments when Michael Bisping landed an illegal knee to the head of Jorge Rivera while he was on two knees. After the fight Bisping delivered a few choice words with Rivera and his camp as well.
Two other main card fights ended in upsets as Brian Ebersole brought a very unorthodox style into his UFC debut against Chris Lytle, earning "Fight of the Night" honors to go along with his win.
Dennis Siver also won in an upset, imposing his will on George Sotiropoulos and making the skilled submission artist fight the entire three rounds on his feet.

Mark Hunt dropped Chris Tuchscherer with a powerful shot. Hunt walked away from Tuchscherer as he tumbled to the ground, not even waiting for the referee to wave the fight off. Like a baseball player nailing a home run, Hunt knew this one was over.
