UFC 127 Results: Michael Bisping Defeats Jorge Rivera
The break between rounds seemed to clear El Conquistador's cabeza quite nicely as he opened the second with short right that had the Count back on his heels and reaching for his balance. But then Bisping's superior cardio kicked in and a flurry of left-right combinations staggered Rivera after a few leg kicks and a hard straight right had stalled him.
After that, the blood was in the water and the sharks closed in for the kill.
The Count battered his opponent with knees, elbows and everything short of the kitchen sink. The bigger problem was that every strike went unanswered as El Conquistador was on the permanent defensive.
Finally, the ref took mercy and stepped in to save Rivera.
Michael Bisping defeats Jorge Rivera by TKO (punches) at 1:54 of the second round.
Bisping quickly used up whatever sympathy he'd been banking in the build up to the contest by taunting Rivera after the loss, calling him a "loser" and telling him to go home.
And then, just as quickly, apologized for the behavior in his post-fight interview.
All in all, just another Michael Bisping appearance.
