Randy Orton needs to lose.
With the way things are going right now, it looks like Orton will be facing CM Punk at WrestleMania XXVII this year. The story is that Punk is looking for revenge against Orton for something that happened a couple of years back when their roles were reversed.
At the end of the night, we need to see Punk with his arm in the air.
A win by Punk would mean a lot more for WWE than an Orton win.
Orton is one of those rare guys in the company who has cemented his spot in the main event. Much like Triple H, Undertaker and John Cena, he's going to remain in the top spot for as long as he wants. A loss at WrestleMania isn't going to affect that whatsoever.
With a big WrestleMania win over a top-level star, Punk would be given more credibility. In turn, Nexus would be given more credibility as well.
If WWE wants to remain entertaining, then they're going to need a top-level heel. Sheamus can't do it, and the Miz is still proving himself.
With Nexus behind him and a big win at WrestleMania, Punk can be that guy. With the strong heel force, then the faces will have more to do.
Otherwise, we're just going to get a meaningless Orton win.
