Big NFC East game at Texas Stadium....Blowout.....or Upset?

Mark RussoContributor ISeptember 26, 2008

This week's NFC East matchup between the Cowboys and the Redskins could be one of the most exciting games of the season.

You are probably asking why.

Well it's easy first of all it is a long time rivalry between the two and i know that cowboys' fans like myself don't want to remember the last game of the season where we went into Washington and got embarrassed 27-6.

I believe this week's game is going to be a blowout for one main reason...offense.  With the number one offense coming into this week it is going to be hard for the Redskins defense which is ranked 13th in the league to stop such a powerful offense.

(However watching the end of that 'Skins game last week when Campbell threw that hail mary reminded me of a certain pass two years ago that closed the deal in Washington and didn't like seeing that out of a dead offense like the Redskins.)

I don't know what it is about Joe Gibbs but he always managed to bring his "A" game against the Cowboys.  This Sunday i would look for the Cowboys and Redskins coming out swinging.  I expect a lot of points by both teams but i feel as though the Cowboys will come out on top.  Final score 31-27.  Tune in on Saturday when i drop my NFL picks for the weekend.
