NBA Trade Rumors: Is Utah Done Dealing After Trading Its Star?
NBA Trade Rumors Swirl as Utah Remains the Talk of the League
Utah shocked the league this morning when the Jazz traded Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets.
However, Chris Mannix of SI.com tweeted that teams have been calling the Jazz, looking into players like Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson. With Utah in clear rebuilding mode, teams smell blood in the water and are looking to get these guys as cheaply as possible before the deadline.
If Utah moves Millsap, I don't know what to say anymore. Millsap is such a talented player and he's a guy that can give you so much when he's on the court. I know that Utah has to make room for Derrick Favors if the Jazz are going to try and mold him into a top player, but you can't just sell off some of your top players.
On the other hand, I'm not sure who would want Jefferson and his awful contract, but if there's a buyer out there, more power to him. If Utah can start to stockpile more picks by the deadline, things won't look so bad for the Jazz.
But for right now, the Jazz are a team that is reeling after losing their long-time coach and their star player. General managers around the league are going in for the kill—let's see if they're successful.
