Kenda Perez: Bleacher Report's MMA Hottie of the Week

No, you're not reading a typo or the name of someone whose parents were drunk while skimming through "The Big Book of Children's Names"--Kenda Perez is the actual name of the lady you're looking at.

In fact, it's the name of the smoking hot woman staring back at you on your computer screen.

Perez is one of the infinite hotties in the world of MMA, but she's the only one we're celebrating here today.

Why? Because I said so, of course.

She will follow up Arianny Celeste as Bleacher Report's MMA Hottie of the Week.

Go crazy, fellas.  

 

Born on The Beach

On May 18, 1983, God—or whichever spiritual being you believe in—decided he wanted to bless us with something awesome, so he created Kenda Perez in Laguna Beach, California.

Man, that place sure spits out hotties.

Kristin Cavillari, then Lauren Conrad and now Kenda Perez, who might be the greatest creation since sliced bread or even the wheel.

 

Father Knows Best

Her father's name is is Ken, and her mother's name is Kaye.

Hence the name Kenda, I guess?

Anyway, good ole Ken holds a blackbelt in Shitō-ryūi, a form of karate. So don't ever cross his daughter...or he'll wreak havoc on you.  

Gator Bait

After graduating high school from Orangewood Academy, Perez attended Orange Coast College with the intention of becoming a pre-school teacher.

She then realized two things.

One, she's way too hot to be a school teacher. And two, she's hot enough to pose with an alligator and somehow make it look ridiculously sexy.  

Head Of The Class

Here's what Perez had to tell the Orange County Register about her high school experience. 

"It's (Orangewood Academy) a real small private school," Perez said. "I had like 10 people in my class. I came from a really, really small private school."

Anyone wanna bet she was the hottest chick in the class?

Hell, even if there were 1,000 chicks in her class, I'm sure she still would have looked the best.

Hometown Hottie

Perez made her foray into modeling when a friend suggested that she enter Maxim's Hometown Hotties competition in 2006.

She did, failing to win but finishing as a top-100 semifinalist.

I don't have an exact number of where she placed, but I do know one thing—whoever was judging this competition made a mistake by putting her so low.

Take Two

The following year, Perez entered the Hometown Hotties competition once again, this time making it all the way to the final four contestants and earning a spread in Maxim.

She continued to appear in Maxim on numerous occasions and has worked with the magazine on a several promotional events.

At least the damn voters got it right in 2007, huh?

Full Of Pride

In 2009, Zuffa LLC (UFC's parent company) began production on a new show called "The Best of Pride Fighting Championship," which features highlights and interviews of the biggest and best of Pride MMA.

Perez auditioned and was hired as host of the show thanks in large part to her charisma and abilities in front of the camera.

In other words, she looks good, she sounds good and she looks good.

Wait, I already said that.

Best in Show

On Jan. 15, 2010, the first ever episode of "Best of Pride" aired on Spike TV, and the show's second season began less than two weeks ago.

Here's a link to Perez talking about the show, but I have to be honest and tell you that I didn't hear a word she said.

I was too busy gawking at her like a bad car accident. I just couldn't look away. 

Ms. Social Media

Here's a not-so-surprising fact about Perez: She's quite popular on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Considering she only has 13,000 Twitter followers, you might not believe me. But trust me, she has plenty of loyal stalk...I mean, followers.

You really know that you're a likable person, an extremely attractive person or both when there's actually a day dedicated to you.

Where Did Ya Come From?

Since I'm sure you're wondering what combination of genes allowed that beautiful specimen to come out of the womb looking like that, I'll let you in on a little secret.

Perez is of Mexican-American descent.

I can't give you a full genealogical breakdown, but you don't need a family tree to know that you like what you see. 

Model Behavior

Throughout her modeling career, Perez has appeared in Maxim, UFC and Muscle & Fitness magazines.

But picking which magazine spread is my favorite is like trying to choose between Fergie and Hilary Swank in a "Who's the Bigger Butterface?" Competition.

It just can't be done.

Thrice as Nice

When I first saw this picture, I thought for a second that I had a few too many cocktails or that Perez was actually one of three insanely gorgeous triplets.

Unfortunately, neither one of those was true.

I guess, as the old saying goes, you win some, you lose some.

Conversation Piece

Word of advice to anybody who may one day have the privilege of meeting Perez in person: Her bio on her personal website says she enjoys "traveling to new beautiful beaches.

So if you want to run game on her, be sure to bring up the Maldives or Horeshoe Bay, Bermuda.

I'm telling you, you're golden if you do.

On August 4, 2010, Perez was named Sports Illustrated's Hot Clicks "Lovely Lady of the Day."

I see the words "hot" and "lovely" in there, and you know what?

Two words have never been more fitting. 

Ruff, Ruff

What's more annoying than a woman who was a tiny dog? Nothing I can think of.

But Perez does indeed have a Yorkshire Terrier who is named after her favorite TV show, Dexter.

I guess this is one of those rare occasions when I can overlook an incredible annoyance in favor of incredible hotness. 

Gator Girl

So do you remember those gators used in the Maxim photo shoot?

Yeah, well, this just in: hose were actual, living, breathing five-foot long alligators.

Gotta appreciate a chick who's willing to risk her life for her job.
