You always hear about how terribly bad it is when an athlete takes steroids. Whats the problem? Yes it's true it makes you bigger and stronger but that dosen't necessarily mean you'll be better at the sport you play. Baseball is all about patience at the plate and good vision to see the ball, will Steroids help you with that? I think not. If you hit a baseball and your on steroids does it mean it will be a base hit or a home-run, no it does not. You have to be able to see the ball, and hit it correctly in order to be a gre
at player, and it shouldn't matter if they are on steroids or not. Players like Sosa and Bonds need to be left alone about the situation because believe it or not they are good people who made a mistake, it should not be the reason they don't get their bust in Cooperstown. If your a pitcher using steroids doe it really help you that much, you still need to be able to get the pitch in the zone, make the hitter miss, or pop out, or fly out. Roger Clemens is a great pitcher who has had a an amazing career and the chance that he was on the juice should not hurt his reputation. Some people ar saying that his 20 strikeout performance was on the influence of steroids when he did it, so does that mean that Kerry Wood was also under the influence when he did it? If you look at the stats of Sosa and Bonds when they where apparently under the influence of steroids you would see that their batting averages where no less than horrible. Steroids only help with the power aspect of baseball but even then you still need to be able to know when and where to hit it.
