Michael Bisping, recently left the UK to travel to Australia where he will face Jorge Rivera at UFC 127.

Before leaving the country, he spoke to The Independent about a number of topics, including his opponent on the Feb. 26 fight card which will take place at Sydney's Acer Arena.

What follows are some of the highlights from his interview with the newspaper, as well as background on what sparked Bisping's anger.

Bisiping and Rivera will meet as the co-main event on the UFC 127 fight card.

The card will be headlined by a bout between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch.

The Background: The Rivera Videos

Jorge Rivera has posted some videos on Youtube poking fun at Michael Bisping.

The videos have seemed to gotten under the skin of Bisping.

Michael Bisping Responds to the Videos

"The guy’s 38 years old. You’d think he’d grow up and mature. He’s going on like a childish teenager. I’ll leave him to his stupid games and believe me I’m training to kick his [expletive] ass," Michael Bisping said.

"If he wants to trash talk me, fine, let’s see how that works out. I’m just focusing on beating him," he continued.

"I fought on the same card as him six years ago for Cage Rage. I would have kicked his [expletive] ass then. He’s an old man, and I’m in my prime. I’ve got better and he’s gone down hill," Bisping said.

"He can try and make himself relevant by talking shit and doing stupid videos. I make myself relevant by constantly fighting the best in the world in main events and co-main events for the UFC. I had to Google his previous opponents to find out who they even were," he said.

The guy’s a [expletive] dork and there’s only one person who’s going to be laughing on the night and that’s me," Bisping concluded.

Michael Bisping Says Jorge Rivera Has Not Gotten into His Head

"He’s trying to play mind games, it has no affect on me. I’m going to go out there and fight the way I always do. He can play mind games but the fact of the matter is; I’m the better fighter. Always have been, always will be.

All the mind games and tricks, they’re not going to work – he’s still going to get beat. It’s all pathetic garbage. He should spend less time making stupid videos and more time in the gym"

Bisping Claims He Is The Better Fighter, Oh, and Better Looking As Well

"He has somewhat got a powerful right hand but I haven’t seen him knock people out with one punch. I’ve seen him damage a few opponents with punches but anyone can do damage with 4oz gloves on.

I’m not overly concerned really. Apart from me making a stupid mistake and him catching me with something flush on the button, I really don’t see what he’s going to do.

I’m too fast for him, I’m too technical, I’m a better wrestler, I’ve got better jiu-jitsu and I’m better looking."

Bisping Says Rivera Offers a Free Pay Day For Him

"The UFC made the match up, I could’ve turned the fight down but I’ve never turned a fight down in my life and I’m certainly not going to start turning down a fight with Jorge Rivera. I’ve fought a lot harder opposition than Jorge Rivera. This is a free pay-day for me. I’m going to be laughing all the way to the bank."
