Crennel to Keep Anderson as Quarterback

Romeo Crennel has decided to stick with quarterback Derek Anderson for now. Anderson has led the Clevleand Browns to an 0-3 start with losses to AFC North rival Baltimore, a Sunday Night game against Pittsburgh, and a trouncing defeat to Dallas week one of the season. In those games Anderson is 43/93 with 2 touchdown passes and 493 yards passing. Anderson has thrown five interceptions so far.

Sitting on the bench is backup Brady Quinn who has yet to start in an NFL game. Quinn was drafted as a late first round pick of the 2007 NFL Draft and was jumped by Derek Anderson when Charlie Frye went down last year with an injury. Anderson had a great season last year throwing for 3,787 yards and 29 touchdowns. This year he has been very disappointing.

Brown Nation is probably waiting for Quinn to get his chance. I would love to see the former Notre Dame Alum play because he did do well in the preseason against the New York Giants third string defense.
