Brad Keselowski To Race In a Fifth Hendrick Car To End the Season
Brad Keselowski has been having a great season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driving the No. 88 Navy sponsored Chevrolet. Currently, he's in a great points battle with Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards. Now, he's also getting a shot at Sprint Cup for all his hard work.
Hendrick Motorsports announced that Keselowski would be driving a fifth team car i tnhe Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway and the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Keselowski will attempt to qualify in the No. 25 Hendrick Chevrolet Impala SS, with sponsorship from godaddy.com. Lance McGrew will lead the effort as crew chief.
He's already tested a cup car for HMS and will be testing at Lowe's this week.
Team owner, Rick Hendrick, knows Keselowski is loaded with talent and has potential to be another superstar for his race team; he's glad to give him the opportunity to drive in Cup for a couple of races.
While it's unofficial, Keselowski's believed to be the eventual heir to the No. 5 Hendrick Chevrolet car.
Keselowski's focused on making the best of this opportunity; Sprint Cup always been his goal and it's up to him to take advantage of the opportunity (Speedtv.com).
Keselowski in Nationwide this season has compiled the following stats in the 2008 Nationwide season: one pole, two wins, ten top fives, and sixteen top tens driving for Dale Jr. and Mr. Hendrick.
He's going to be really good driver and HMS is taking their time with him; they aren't not rushing him and we should see future battles with him, Lagano, and (the) Scott Speed (Demon).
