QB Joey Harrington is without a job, again.
Less than a week after signing with the New Orleans Saints, QB Joey Harrington was released today. Coincidentally, it happens to be the same day his former GM Matt Millen was fired by the Detroit Lions.
Harrington is the face of the Lions' bad times under Millen. Harrington was the man that Millen was to build the franchise around when he was drafted in 2002, but after four horrible seasons in Detroit and posting a record of 19-45 his run with Detroit was over.
Since he left Detroit, Harrington started 11 games for the Miami Dolphins and 10 for the Atlanta Falcons, which both teams realized he was no good after one season with each.
In six NFL seasons Joey Harrington has thrown 14,693 yards for 79 TDs and 85 INTs. He has been sacked 124 times and has a career QB rating of 69.4.
Just going out on a limb here, I would not expect either Harrington or Millen to return to the NFL. Wait they actually should not be allowed. Joey can finally get back to playing the piano he loves so much.
