The Portland Trail Blazers and New Jersey Nets have had discussions involving Nets point guard Devin Harris. Harris, once thought to be destined for Denver along with Derrick Favors in a deal for All-Star Carmelo Anthony, could find himself not with the Nuggets but within the same division.

The deal, in its early stages, has Harris and Portland point guard Andre Miller as the main pieces in the deal. Miller has two years left on his deal and Harris is under contract for three. The deal would work under the salary cap, but other players are also rumored to be involved.

Travis Outlaw, a former Blazer who signed with New Jersey in the offseason, and Anthony Morrow are other players that could be sent to Portland with Rudy Fernandez and Joel Przybilla being sent to New Jersey in return.
