WR Brandon Lloyd has bounced around from team to team throughout his career. Has he finally found a home with the Chicago Bears?

After three average seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and two horrible seasons with the Washington Redskins, the sixth year man out of Illinois may have found his place with the Bears. In three games this season Lloyd has caught 13 balls for 216 yards and one TD. He is also tied for 15th in the NFL at receiving yards.

While the Bears have lost the last two games, Lloyd may be a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

“He had an All-Pro corner on him most of the time in Ronde Barber, who is a good football player,” said coach Lovie Smith. “Kyle [Orton] put the ball in a place where it would take a good leaping athlete to get it a few times and he was able to do that.”

With Lloyd's best year behind him in 2005 with San Francisco, in which he had 48 receptions for 733 yards and five TDs, he looks to become the staple at WR.

“We’ve had this rhythm going since April,” Lloyd said. “As we get to know each other a little better, we’ll be more on the same page.”

Some interesting stats about the Bears' history at wide receiver are that Lloyd's 124 yards were the most by a Bears wide receiver since David Terrell had 126 in the 2004 season opener against the Detroit Lions.

All that Bears fans can do now is watch to see if Lloyd is for real and if he will continue to make big plays for the offense if given the opportunity.

In other Bears receiver news, WR Marty Booker is not thrilled with his lack of opportunity to get the ball.

“I don’t know what is going to happen,” Booker said. “I’m just sitting here waiting my turn. Hopefully I get some opportunities. Whenever I’m out there, I just have to do what I can.” Booker has only two catches this season for 11 yards in his second stint with the Bears.

This is what Coach Lovie Smith had to say on the Booker situation.

“We need to be able to hit him. He’s been open a few times. We haven’t been able to get the ball to him. Our passing game took a big step this past week from the second game and hopefully we will see the same type of improvement this fourth game and hopefully Marty will be a big part of that.”

In not having a reception against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Booker ended his streak of 60 consecutive games with a reception.

Like coach Smith said, they will be looking to get the ball to Booker when he is open. I guess that's all you can do.
