NBA Slam Dunk Contest 2011: Event Info, dunk Highlights and More

The final round of the dunk contest featured JaVale McGee and Blake Griffin, with the two best dunkers making it to the final round.

Blake Griffin's first dunk was the classic Vince Carter elbow hang dunk, which he alley-ooped too himself off the backboard and dunked it, followed by him hanging by his elbow on the rim.

JaVale McGee's first dunk was one in which he used the fewest balls of the night, only one. He did the classic Michael Jordan rock-the-cradle dunk in which he cradled the ball in his elbow, jumped under the rim and slammed it home while traveling in the opposite direction of the hoop and avoiding a head injury.

Then...a sparkling new Kia came out of the tunnel, which they backed into the lane. A choir sang, "I Believe I Can Fly" and Baron Davis was sitting in the car.

Griffin ran and jumped over the hood of the car while Davis threw an alley-oop up to him. All the while, Clipper Owner Donald Sterling was sitting somewhere in LA weeping.

McGee couldn't top the fanfare the Griffin brought with his final dunk as he did another up-and-under the rim dunk, which he threw down. It wasn't as impressive as his first dunk in the final round, but it was impressive nonetheless.

Griffin won the contest with 68 percent of the fan vote.
