NBA Slam Dunk Contest 2011: Event Info, Dunk Highlights and More

Of the four teams represented in this year's dunk contest, only the Washington Wizards, represented by JaVale McGee, have yet to have a dunk contest winner.

The Thunder have had Desmond Mason (during the SuperSonics era), the Clippers have had Brent Barry (yea, Brent Barry), and the Raptors have had Vince Carter (in the best dunk contest of the last decade in 2000).

So, while these three contestants can move their team into a group of seven teams with multiple dunk contest winners, McGee can put his team onto the list that now only includes 14 teams.

This may not be as nice as your team's trophy case housing the O'Brien Trophy, but it is a trophy nonetheless, and it is the most sought after individual event trophy in the NBA.

McGee could certainly do it to. The man is constantly idolizing Michael Jordan, even doing his famous "rock-the-cradle" dunk in a game in the Summer League, and trying (and failing) a free-throw line dunk. A for effort my man, just bring your best tonight.
