Krista Klumpp: Finally a Reason To Watch Survivor

Let me start by saying that I am not an avid watcher of the show Survivor. If I wanted to see a bunch of people stranded in the middle of nowhere with no means of helping themselves, I would just watch a Bobcats game.

But my thinking has changed recently as my favorite former cheerleader takes to the television. Krista Klumpp will join the cast of 18 hopefuls on Survivor which premiers Wednesday.

Klumpp became my favorite cheerleader when she was the Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week. It was at that point that I made a lasting connection between her and her ironic name. Every time I utter it, I half expect to see a big fat character played by Eddie Murphy.

So unless she is going to light up the premiere of Survivor with flatulence, I will refer to her as Krista. Don't think for a second that Krista is not prepared.

She is a savvy person with the fire of competition in her belly. She relayed that she saw past contestants would peter out after dropping weight.

Krista has gone the other way by attempting to build muscle mass and a little bulk. I can't wait to see what more Krista looks like.

After so many seasons of missing this hit show, I will finally fall victim as I just can't get enough Auburn or cheer. She does a good job of combing both.
