Peter R No. 8
Can te Big twelve South really have tree top ten teams?

Ben Lee No. 8
Haven't really been tested yet and won't be tested until they play Kansas on October 25.

Jason Hackney No. 8
This could finally be Tech's year...to beat Texas. Sorry Techies, Mizzou is too strong this year.

Alex Ferguson No. 9

Chris Sielicki No. 9
Graham Harrell will rewrite records at TxTech.

Lev Facher No. 9

Steve Moreau No. 9

College Football Fanatic No. 9
This offense is still very explosive. If the defense can back them up, next week's game against Kansas State could be over in the first quarter.

David Morgan No. 9
Crabtree is a stud, this team will shake up the usual standings of the Big 12

Ryan Staab No. 9
The Red Raiders gear up for their first conference game against Kansas State on Saturday to show why they’re one of the best in the Big XII.

Jimson Cuenta No. 9

RedRaider Red No. 9

Trey Bradley No. 9
4 impressive non-conference wins... now can they get it done in the Big 12?

Eric Josephson No. 9
Graham Harrell is pretty good. He can throw a football almost 15 yards... in the air!

Burgess Shaw No. 10
The duo of Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree have dominated defenses in each game.

Chris Flanagan No. 10

Matt Wright No. 10

Michael Devivero No. 10

Jim Sheldon No. 10
The Big 12 is stacked and yet to see how good they can be.

John Scott No. 10

Wesley Marshall No. 10
You can't say much about a team's confidence when they're recruiting players from an in-between-quarters promotion.

Rob Fox No. 10
Tech's offense is as potent as ever. Playing at K-State next week is an early trap game.

Chad Haynie No. 10

Dan Alexandre No. 10

Will Devlin No. 10

BeachBum Chris No. 10
High flying offense is back with some added defense but right now they're just beating down inferior opponents. After bye week, they begin Big 12 play on the 4th with first game against a ranked team on Oct 25th at Kansas.

Brian Evans No. 11

12 No. 11
Nebraska will be their first true test, then they have to get by Texas and Oklahoma, not an enviable task.

Nate Stafford No. 11
Haven't really been tested so far this year and won't for a while. They get the week off before heading to Kansas State and then hosting Nebraska in Lubbock. We'll know more after the Nebraska game. One thing is for sure...Michael Crabtree is one of the best receivers playing the game. College or pro.

Mike Vorkunov No. 11
Do they have enough defense this year?

Scientizzle FoShizzle No. 11

Colin Clark No. 11
I cannot justify putting tech in the top ten because they have not played a big game yet. I will move them up when I see something worthy of moving them into the top 10.

Matthew Smith No. 11

Michael Cline No. 11

Brad Shipley No. 11

Lisa Horne No. 11
The Red Raiders get a week off before starting conference play and after playing some real cupcakes (TWO FCS TEAMS!) they had better come out swinging against K-State to keep their ranking.

Chase Davis No. 11

Stuart Whitehair No. 11

Burton DeWitt No. 11

Michael Shibley No. 12
Can the Red Raiders finally get over the hump and be top dog in the Big 12 South?

Jared Reback No. 12
Different year, same story. Can the Raiders do it when they play the big boys of the Big 12?

Ron Johnson No. 12
The Red Raiders have shown their true colors. With Michael Crabtree improving on his numbers, the Big 12 Conference is looking more dangerous than before.

Jesse Monday No. 12
Another strong school out of Texas. I see why everyone recruits in that state.

Mitchell Morse No. 12

Adam Lindemer No. 12

Joseph Morgan No. 12
After a bye week, this offensive juggernaut will face Kansas State in their Big 12 opener.

Ryan Williams No. 12

Ryan Bower No. 12

Tracy Robbins No. 12
The Red Raiders can score with anybody in the country, but can they score more than the defense is going to give up against good competition?

Toby Parker No. 12
They have a week off before a big month of October for the Red Raiders.

andrew johnston No. 12

No surprises here. Well balanced personnel makes this team legit.

Tim Pollock No. 14

Kenneth Julian III No. 14
This week there was a lot of crisp execution, now the only thing left is to show they can do it against some real competition.

Scott Pusich No. 14
(previous: 18) Tested the air attack--again--against the mighty mighty UMass. All systems check. Tough matchup next week against suddenly popular... *snore*... will drop a spot... *snore*...

Billy Williamson No. 15

John O'Dell No. 15
Although the Red Raiders have yet played a quality opponent, they have demonstrated an offensive firepower that will make them a threat to every team in the Big XII. Graham Harrell has already posted nearly 1600 yards passing and is showing no sign of slowing down.

Phil Aiello No. 15
Texas Tech almost always scores a ton of points with that offense. Now they have an experienced Michael Crabtree. You do the math. They will have their chance to prove themselves against some really tough Big-12 competition.

Kristofer Green No. 16

Michael Lemaire No. 16

Hector Aleandro No. 16

miamimitchdotcom No. 17
Beating Massachusetts isn't going to move you up the ladder.

Will Shelton No. 17
Still waiting for season-long proof on these guys...

Jayson Stock No. 19
I shouldn't even rank the Raiders this high. Two FCS opponents already, please.

Jeremiah Coggins No. 21
Putting a lot of points up as usual, but boy do they have a touch schedule left. Still needing to play Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma speaks volumes. I just don't see Tech's depth holding up through those challenges. They probably lose to KU, upset Texas, and get blown out by Oklahoma. But they'll be a factor in the final standings of the Big 12.
