The Buckeyes shouldn't have dropped from the top ten after their stumble at the Coliseum. Pryor's dominating play keeps them in the top ten even without Beanie Wells.

Drew Silverthorn No.8
Throw any team I have ranked ahead of Ohio State, with the exception of Oklahoma, against USC and you will more than likely get the same results. A great defense and as Pryor comes of age and explosive offense. A top five team by the end of the season.

Clark Nelson No.9

Will Shelton No.10
Meh.

John O'Dell No.11
The Buckeyes are off to a slow start. With victories over Ohio and Troy which were closer than they ought to have been and a blowout loss to USC, Ohio State finds itself painted into a corner. Now that the reigns of the offense have been turned over to Terrelle Pryor, a new dimension has been added to the Buckeyes' offense and life has been breathed back into the best team of the Big Ten.

Kenneth Julian III No.11
Troy is a tougher team then most people will give it credit for (watch the LSU game). With that said, there needs to be better execution in order for this extremely talented team to move up.

John Scott No.11

Jason Hackney No.11
Pyror bringing new life to the choke artists.

Jeremiah Coggins No.11
The Buckeyes lost to USC yes, but they really just aren't the same team w/o Beanie Wells. With the question marks still remaining at running back, you have to factor in the inconsistency of Pryor at QB. They have Wisconsin on 10/04 which could make or break their season, very untypical for the Buckeye program as they usually are in charge of their destiny.

Eric Josephson No.11
Everyone is dropping OSU in recent polls. They're not the best, but they're better than BYU. A bad loss to USC looks better than a bad win versus Washington.

David Rung No.12

Lev Facher No.12

Yes they did get stomped by USC but a trip to the Rose Bowl is a very good possibility. Could see a rematch with the Trojans

Well I'm not going to mention the USC game, but I think with Terrelle Pryor starting at quarterback, this team has a better chance to win. I still think they're the 3rd best team in the Big Ten, but depending upon the improvement of Pryor, they could be better than that.

It's becoming increasingly alarming that the Buckeyes cannot put away mediocre teams like Troy and Ohio

Pryor will do them some good, but not enough to convince any voter to put them in a BCS bowl, barring a season... like 2007.

(previous: 17) The Buckeyes doth verily vanquish the valiant Men of Troy... Alabama. Next up? Those tricky Golden Gophers of Minne-SO-ta. Highest ranked team with a defeat (3-1).

Chad Bradbury No.13
Still the class of the Big 11 until proven otherwise.

Nick Shepkowski No.13

Ron Johnson No.14
The Buckeyes look weak this season. After getting crushed by USC, they barely made it past Ohio. Can they make it to the finish line and try to salvage their season?

Edward Leigh No.14

Jim Sheldon No.14
Might have found their quarterback.

Tracy Robbins No.14
Ohio State bounced back against a decent Troy team after being embarassed by USC.

Justin Goar No.14
The Buckeyes better start playing like a team that deserves a "The" in front of their name. It would be hard not to against the Golden Gophers.

Stuart Whitehair No.14

BeachBum Chris No.14
How the mighty have fallen. Loss of Chris Wells before USC game showed how one dimensional this team really is. Now they are barely beating teams they should dominate. Wells better get healthy soon or the Buckeyes will be muttering about what could have been.

Tim Pollock No.15

Jared Reback No.15
Really want to see what this team looks like against Wisconsin and Penn State. Pryor looks like the real deal, but he will have some bumps, and this team will lose at least two more games.

Still recovering from the loss to USC. Mr. Pryor might be just what the Dr. ordered.

Mitchell Morse No.15

Scott Glesner No.15

Welcome to the Terrelle Pryor era. They took care of Troy last week (albeit it wasn't pretty) and have an undefeated Minnesota squad rolling into Columbus. Should be a nice tune up for Wisconsin the following week.

College Football Fanatic No.15
Still stunned from the USC loss, the Bucks gave a sub-par effort against Troy, needing Terrelle Pryor and some fourth-quarter magic to win 28-10. In other news, Todd Boeckman got booed off the field. Well, it's about time!

Ben Lee No.15
How the mighty have fallen. This looks like the 3rd best team in the Big 10 at best.

Rob Fox No.15
Terrell Pryor is finally getting serious playing time, good call. This team however doesn't deserve too much respect unless it can knock off Penn State and Wisconsin.

The longer Beanie Wells is out, the longer the drop in the rankings continues.

Joseph Morgan No.16
Terrelle Pryor put on an impressive performance at quarterback against Akron. Don't get too excited though. It was Akron, not Michigan.

Wesley Marshall No.16
Terrelle Pryor said "[his] comfort level is about 7 or 8 out of 10 right now." Think that the fans in Columbus would rate their comfort level in his team that high?

Toby Parker No.16
I didn't think the offense would struggle this much without Chris Wells.

Brook Bristow No.16

Phil Aiello No.16
Oh Ohio State. How you have fallen. I think everyone wanted to drop OSU after almost blowing it against Ohio...but they decided to wait until USC blew them out to do so. At least Pryor is playing. That guy is one heck of a football player. The team still has veteran leadership on defense in Lauranitis and Jenkins to get them to another possible Big-10 championship.

Lisa Horne No.16
They struggled against Troy and the fans booed Boeckman in his only two plays of the game. The Bucks need a session with Dr. Phil.

The Terrelle Pryor Era has officially begun in Columbus, earlier than anyone expected. Their next big test will be against the Badgers at night in Madison on October 4, but that doesn’t mean they should overlook Minnesota.

Chris Sielicki No.25
I think this is one of the most overrated teams in college football today. They are in the top 25 because of Chris Wells (I refuse to call him Beanie). I don't expect this team to be able to hold off Penn St and Wisconsin this year.
