Dan Murphy No.1
The undefeated BCS Champion is No.1 until they lose again.
Matt St. Jean No.1
The defending champs go to Auburn and notch an impressive comeback win against the 9th rank team in the nation.
Mark Carmean No.2
tom scurlock No.2
David Rung No.3
Isaac Elyacharshuster No.3
Billy Williamson No.3
In the win over Auburn, the quarterback situation definitely improved. Jarrett Lee did a great job of overcoming adversity and a horrible decision in the first half to lead the team to a win.
Mike Vorkunov No.3
It looked like a down year after losing a slew of players to the NFL but the win over Auburn showed that teams should not sleep on the Tigers
Colin Clark No.3
Of the three SEC teams, the Tigers look the best this week. While Georgia handled Arizona State well, ASU is not Auburn.
Jason Hackney No.3
Les Miles did it again. Proves why you can never count LSU out in the SEC.
andrew johnston No.3
Brad Shipley No.3
Scott Glesner No.3
Scott Pusich No.3
(previous: 3) Important win on the road against Auburn proves the Tigers' chops are still sharp--that's the Tigers from Louisiana, not the Tigers from Alabama. Oct. 11 @ Florida will shake out which team stays this high.
Kristofer Green No.3
Jeremiah Coggins No.3
Winning a close one in Auburn speaks volumes about the team's fortitude, and gives them a step above Alabama but the Tide is really close here.
Chris Sielicki No.4
Great win at Auburn, I think by the end of the year this will be a marquee win.
Mitchell Morse No.4
Edward Leigh No.4
Lev Facher No.4
Nate Stafford No.4
Impressive win at Auburn last week. Get a struggling Mississippi State at home this week. Lee looks like the real deal at QB and has plenty of weapons on offense.
Hector Aleandro No.4
BeachBum Chris No.4
Big win at Auburn showed this team is for real, again. Tough SEC schedule makes it hard for them to get to the championship game again but it could happen.
Will Chambers No.4
Dont count out the defending champs ever!
Brian Evans No.4
Still not sure about LSU. The win on the road against Auburn makes me put them at 4 but I think Auburn was overrated to begin with. Still, a road win in the SEC is worth something!
Chad Bradbury No.4
Looked very rounded in tough Auburn win.
Ron Johnson No.4
The Tigers defeated Auburn on the road last weekend and did it in impressive fashion. Now the Bayou Bengals will have to lock horns with their conference rival.
Jared Reback No.5
Had Missouri here, but a real impressive win over Auburn gets the Tigers the spot this week.
Chris Flanagan No.5

A win over a very good defensive Auburn team keeps them ranked high. The QB position is still a question.
Michael Lemaire No.5
miamimitchdotcom No.5
Nothing fancy, just winning football games.
Michael Devivero No.5
Peter R No.5
I can't believe theyare not ranked number 1. They have not lost and they are returning champions.
Jim Sheldon No.5
Just keeping finding ways to win.
College Football Fanatic No.5
A great, great win against Auburn on Saturday.
Ryan Williams No.5
Ryan Bower No.5
Quarterback is still a big question but a close win at Auburn showed this team can win on the road, though Auburn might be overrated.
David Morgan No.5
See Florida comment
John Scott No.5
Tracy Robbins No.5
Went to Auburn and knocked off a previously undefeated and top 10 ranked team.
Ryan Staab No.5
Coming out of the hostile territory at Jordan-Hare Stadium is a great way to show your still a contender for this year’s BCS Championship.
Jon Lunceford No.5
Toby Parker No.5
The Tigers come in third in the SEC based solely on my alphabetic order theory for their rankings. But does anyone else in the Top 5 have a better win so far than at Auburn?
Justin Goar No.5
Tigers gut out a tough win in Auburn.
Brook Bristow No.5
Dan Alexandre No.5
Phil Aiello No.5
They are the reigning champs and have blown out the cupcakes and scraped by a really good Auburn team. Can the champs get some respect? All depends on how far they can ride the rookie signal caller. So far so good.
Will Devlin No.5
Matthew Smith No.5
Will Shelton No.5
Still winning tough road games the way championship teams do.
J.C. Hagan No.5
Burgess Shaw No.5
Big win against Auburn. Another National Championship?
Nick Shepkowski No.5
Michael Shibley No.5
Tough hard fought win on the road at Auburn.
Don Bradner No.5
A solid team that held off their rival tigers. Start looking ahead to Gainesville.
Dan Boss No.6
Alex Ferguson No.6
Jesse Monday No.6
Maybe they do ahve an offense to compliment their amazing deffense. Auburn went down but Florida and Alabama are going to make things a little more complicated.
Adam Lindemer No.6
Won a thriller against Auburn last week, but I think that they are still on the outside looking in at the Top 5.
Steve Moreau No.6
Jay Armstrong No.6
nice when Tigers but don't get too excited you beat at Auburn tam that scored three points against Mississippi State two weeks ago and only did that in the last minute you are the defending national champions which is the only reason you're ranked as high in my poll you would be really dangerous if you have proven quarterback but the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz would be a rocket scientist if he only had a brain
Joseph Morgan No.6
After winning the "Tiger Bowl," the Bayou Bengals play host to Sylvester Croom and Mississippi State.
Jayson Stock No.6
An impressive win over Auburn, but still got a few major hurdles to go.
Ezekiel Fuhrman No.6
Ben Lee No.6
Probably the most impressive win of the year for any team last week at Auburn. We'll see if Jarrett Lee can keep playing that well.
Wesley Marshall No.6
The Tigers are going to need a whole lot of mental toughness to get through this season, let alone coming away with an SEC title.
Rob Fox No.6
Their win against Auburn shows that this team can win in even the toughest of SEC road games. No one else in the SEC can claim this....yet.
Alex Farrer No.6
Eric Josephson No.6
Impressive win versus Auburn, but I'm not convinced they actually have a quarterback. In fact, I'm confident they don't. This is a two loss team.
Mosang Miles No.6
Clark Nelson No.6
Jonathan Lintner No.6
LSU beat an over-rated Auburn team, but a team that was ranked highly. Yay for the Tigers.
RedRaider Red No.6
Trey Bradley No.6
Seriously?!? Throwing the ball in plus-territory, and leaving more than a minute on the clock for Auburn?? Sooner or later, this is going to bite Les in the ass.
Michael Cline No.6
Chase Davis No.6
Stuart Whitehair No.6
Tim Pollock No.6
Kenneth Julian III No.7
Looks like the Tigers have found a QB. But before everyone jumps on the bandwagon, let's see if Jarret Lee can do this for more than one week.
Justin Thomas No.7
Escaped Auburn with a victory...narrowly. Soon up the Florida Gators. Key match up in Gainesville.
John O'Dell No.7
The Bayou Bengals personify the opposite problem of the Missouri Tigers. While LSU may be more talented than Missouri from top to bottom, inconsistent QB play is a detriment to them. LSU's premier defense should be able to overcome any QB deficiencies and keep the Bayou Bengals in the national championship coversation.
Garrett Spain No.7
Chad Haynie No.7
Lisa Horne No.7
They had to come from behind to beat Auburn in an exciting game, but this team is not quite as solid as last year's.
Matt Wright No.8
Scientizzle FoShizzle No.8
Burton DeWitt No.8
Drew Silverthorn No.9
Not very impressive against Auburn. Easily a two or three loss team.
Jimson Cuenta No.12
