AFC East the Best Conference in Football?

Dan SharbaughContributor ISeptember 23, 2008

Okay stop laughing because I am as far from serious as I have ever been.  Although the conference is on a down year, considering the Patriots made up over 50% of the division's total wins last year, this is giving more chances for the "underdog teams" from two weeks ago.

The Bills are looking as strong as they have since the Jim Kelly days and the Dolphins have matched their win total from last year in just three weeks.  The injury of the quarterback from New England...sorry can't remember his name right now...has certainly given its division opponents a little bit of a swagger and almost a "hey, we have a shot this year" attitude.

Maybe not the best football in the world, but it will be more fun to actually see some competition this year.  Again, even if it's not as good as it once was, it is now a group of contenders where someone will have to earn the title of division champs.
