Jadeveon Clowney Announcement: Which School Is the Best Choice?
It is not Valentine's Day, it is Jadeveon Clowney's signing day.
Clowney is the No. 1 ranked defensive end and consensus No. 1 overall prospect.
He has narrowed it down to three schools: South Carolina, Clemson and Alabama, although some say that Alabama has fallen off the map.
Clowney is 6'6'', 247 pounds and runs a 4.6 40.
If those numbers don't impress you, I don't know what will.
So, which school is his best fit amongst Clemson, South Carolina and Alabama?
It doesn't matter.
For Jadeveon Clowney, the right decision is to sign the letter of intent to play football at one of those three schools.
He will step in from day one and make an immediate impact on either of those schools.
It doesn't matter who else the teams signed this year or who they have on their depth chart.
Clowney will be the guy from day one.
3-4 defense or 4-3 defense isn't an issue for the physical beast that is Clowney; the fact is that he could probably play five positions on the defensive side of the ball, as well as a couple offensive positions.
Clowney, if he goes to Clemson, will be tabbed as Da'Quan Bowers 2.0.
However, calling his that is doing a disservice to Jadeveon Clowney—he is Jadeveon Clowney 1.0.
But don't take my word for it, just watch is highlight video. He is unreal.
I know that it is only high school, but he is in high school. Watch the video on the right, that is all you need to do.
Clowney is the best recruit to come out of high school in recent memory.
However, if you are an ACC fan of a team not named Clemson, you want him to go to South Carolina or Alabama; if you are an SEC fan of a team not named South Carolina or Alabama, you want him to go to Clemson.
Jadeveon Clowney will make an impact from day one, and you do not want to go up against him.
With all the hype that certain prospects get, some fail to live up to expectations.
The bar for Jadeveon Clowney is set very high, but if there is a guy that will live up to expectations, it is Jadeveon Clowney.
UPDATE: Clowney has decided to attend the University of South Carolina
