Pittsburgh Penguins: Accident Forces Penguins to Take Cabs to Central Park
Pittsburgh Penguins Experience New York Traffic a Day Before Matchup With Rangers
New York traffic sucks. You know it, I know it, and if they didn't already, the Pittsburgh Penguins sure as heck know it after today.
The Penguins are in town to play the Rangers, but something funny happened on their way to practice: the team bus got into an accident with a car, causing a considerable delay.
Instead of waiting around, the word from Penguins insider Sam Kasan is that the team chose to improvise in classic New York fashion: they hailed a few cabs, and made for Central Park.
Kasan was kind enough to post plenty of pictures of the whole fiasco, which are good for a laugh if you're feeling in the need.
If you're also thinking the Penguins are just downright snakebit this season, you are absolutely correct. First it was Sidney Crosby's concussion, and then it was Evgeni Malkin's torn ACL and MCL, and now this.
Indeed, the hockey gods clearly have it out for them. It's a wonder that they're still somehow in second place in the Atlantic.
Oh well. One supposes things could be worse.
[Crosses fingers].
