On Saturday, February 12th, Strikeforce will present the first fight card in their Strikeforce World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament series. The first card will take place at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Weigh-ins for the event took place on Friday, February 11th at the Izod Center.

Fedor (32-2-1) meets Antonio Silva (15-2) in the main event. The winner of this quarterfinal bout will meet the winner of the Alistair Overeem versus Fabricio Werdum bout.

Antonio Silva weighed in at 264 pounds for his fight against Fedor Emelianenko on Saturday. Silva brings a record of 15-2 into the fight. Silva will look to upset the heavily favored Fedor in their quarterfinal bout. If he wins, his competition does not get any easier as he will face the winner of the Fabricio Werdum versus Alistair Overeem bout.

There is a huge size difference in these competitors, as Fedor is six feet tall and weighed in at 230, while Silva stands six-feet four-inches and weighed in at a much heavier 264 for their heavyweight bout.

Sergei Kharitonov makes his Strikeforce debut on Saturday when he meets Andrei Arlovski in a quarterfinal bout at the Strikeforce World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament.

The fight will mark the second time the PRIDE/Dream veteran has fought in the United States.

If Fedor is able to get by Antonio Silva he will face a tough test in the next round of the Strikeforce World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament.

His opponent will either be the man who ended his 28-fight win streak, Fabricio Werdum or the Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem.
